Hi Coastline,

I just want to tell you what an awesome part of the world you live in. I had the most wonderful holiday with Rob, seeing a part of Canada that was just so spectacular at every direction you travelled. I cannot wait to re visit Canada.

The accommodation was also excellent. People in general were always very helpful and nothing was ever a problem. The breakfasts included in the deal were delicious.

Overall, the bike tour was amazing. The day we rode to Banff we saw 4 bears, that was very much my personal highlight. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in a bike trip to contact your company.

Hi Coastline,

All in all we are very pleased with the trip, it was great and worth doing again! I would not hesitate to do this ride all over again so maybe 2015/2016. Once again, thanks for all your help and prompt responses to my e-mails (one of the things that sold me your product) and yes I have already recommended it to several people I have talked to since returning.

This was seriously a great ride

Best Regards,

Rob Holmes

Hi Coastline,

Well here we are at the very beautiful Mt Robson B&B. We stopped and did the awesome 1hour bear river cruise and got to see our first wild bears. Then had dinner at the Moose hotel in Valemount. Lucky with the weather as only a couple of light showers today. Claudia & Curtis were really nice, & it's my. Recommendation that people stay longer there as it's a lovely spot to just chill out! Here we are in Banff, and are you kidding me that mountain ride was just unbelievable, we even saw a mountain goat, a huge Elk with big antlers and a deer which was standing right next to the road oblivious to the traffic doing over 120 km / hr past it.

The FJR is truly an awesome touring machine and just a pleasure to ride.

You're right yesterday's ride was really nice winding around the lake. Also saw no less than three deer on the road as well. Now enjoying the hot springs here with a doggy paddle in the cave! Got to see some wild goats and an elk and an eagle as well.

Hi Coastline,

Back home and unfortunately back to work and reality.

Both Deb and I had a fantastic time in Canada and are keen to see more. A month just isn't long enough

Firstly, I would like to say thanks very much for the support and information you have provided for the whole trip. Though we didn't get to meet you in person, the boys at the shop were great and really looked after us. Please convey my thanks to them. With the directions, we found them easy enough to follow and the only time I got a bit geographically embarrassed was when I listened to Deb and her interpretation of them ?. If you are looking at adding anything to the instruction, I would highly recommend the Log Cabin Pub at Spencers Bridge. It doesn't look much from the outside but it is a biker pub with great memorabilia, atmosphere and publicans that are right into their bikes. Well worth stopping at!

Thanks again. We hope to be back again one day.

Regards,

Mick & Deb Towler

Hi Coastline,

We had no problem finding the hotel. Many thanks for providing us with all that detailed explanation, we found it very helpful. Public transport was great and efficient. Best Western in Vancouver: Rooms spacious and clean, services was good as well, location was great - we really liked the neighbourhood.

Kamloops to Mount Robson: We liked riding along the Thomson River, in which we also took a bath. Quite cold and fast current, but it was very hot so we had no choice but to dive in. We had probably the best burger of our lives in the Husky petrol station in Blue River. Everything about Mount Robson was great. Curtis and Claudia were very friendly and welcoming, Claudia's cooking was superb. We had good fun there - we met a bunch of Canadian geologists prospecting for some precious metals nearby (they also stayed in Curtis and Claudia's place) and we spend much of the night drinking Alberta Premium whisky, which has also became our favourite since then.

Mount Robson to Banff: Scenery, simply mind blowing. We liked climbing up to the Athabasca glacier. Jasper was OK, but we really liked Banff. Many thanks for suggesting 2 nights there. We found 3 interesting pubs with live music, and enjoyed local ales. Ale and music were so good that we were very happy that we stayed two days, since we probably would not have been able to ride very far the day after. Hotel and breakfast were great (probably the best on our way) But we really liked riding through the Kicking Horse Pass and to the Takkakwa Falls. We were lucky there had been almost no traffic. The ride was simply mind blowing. We admired the railway tunnel opposite the Kicking Horse Pass. Revelstoke was a nice town, we liked the hotel and its pub. Good food and good beers. We were watching the Calgary Stampede with a bunch of local guys there and thought we must go to see the Stampede next time!

Revelstoke to Ainsworth Hot Springs: As you said, one of the best riding roads on our way. And probably the second best burger of our lives in Three Lions pub in Nakusp. We liked taking a rest in New Denver by the lake side. Beautiful sights of mountains with glaciers over the lake. Sandon was also superb. Hard to imagine some 20,000 people can move in and out within such a short time span. New Denver to Kaslo was superb! We also liked Kaslo. Nice little town. Springs were pleasant, so was the hotel.

Ainsworth to Kelowna: We liked the ride along the lake a lot, as well as the road from Castlegar to Greenwood and further along the Kettle River. I would definitely recommend that to everyone. I would like to own a ranch by the Kettle River :-)! Good lunch in Greenwood. 8. Kelowna to Whistler: We really liked the road from Lytton to Lillooet and especially from Lillooet until Lillooet Lake.

The bikes were super, we did not have any technical difficulties. The itinerary your kindly sent us was great and very helpful. It would be difficult to manage all that without your guidance. Guys in the depot were very helpful as well as the road map they provided us with. If I could I would have spent some 3 days in Vancouver to recover and repeated the same trip again. Overall: The trip over exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Great country, great beers, great bikes, great roads, great people. Organisation was superb, many thanks again!

Hi Coastline,

The tour was great. I'm glad I took the V-Strom. Really comfy ride. Wasn't prepared for how hot the weather got once I reached Banff. Was like riding into a hair dryer, and I was setting off early each day to get some riding in before it got too warm. Having said that, all I wanted to do on the last day was to ride straight past the depot and do the whole thing again.

Cheers,

Andy H

Hi Coastline,

The trip has been fantastic with no problems at all. The directions were fine and easy to follow. The guys in the depot were great.

Here were the highlights of our trip.

Best roads were the stretch out to Tofino, between Lytton and Whistler, and Kaslo - New Denver. Would be happy to recommend the trip, be a reference or discuss further how the trip could be developed and marketed in Europe. Many Canadians I met on the trip exclaimed "what an amazing trip it was to do-wow!" and it really was.

Many thanks.

Hi Coastline,

We finally made it home and are getting relatively rested up from our vacation!

We had a wonderful time both on the motorbike portion as well as the car trip to Vancouver Island.

We had a great visit to Vancouver city. We were impressed with the transit system and especially the bus drivers that were more than helpful in directing us to the proper buses to get where we were going. We rented bicycles at English Bay and spent one day cycling in Stanley Park, False Creek, Grenville Island and Canada Place. We would highly recommend this if the weather is good as you get to see much at a leisurely pace, stopping for a great Salmon Burger at Grenville Island for lunch, followed by great Oatmeal Stout at the Stream Works Brew Pub in Gastown! We also visited Gastown and the Museum of Anthropology at UBC.

We dropped in the morning we were to pick up the bike and met Mike, then later that day came back to get the bike. It was a pleasure dealing with Mike. He had the paper work all ready, upgraded the RT to a newer model and recommended a great local restaurant, "The Whip", which we visited several times before and after our motor bike trip. Great food and drink with an eclectic crowd of patrons and great staff, who treated us great, even with our lack of tattoos!

We sure can't complain about the weather, although 36-37C was a little hotter than we had anticipated! We had a little damp rain leaving Banff and on our way to Takkakaw Falls. We stopped at the top of Rogers Pass to take in the movie at the Visitors Center and when we came out it was pouring, with small hail. We waited for a bit, until there was no more hail, then donned our rain gear and headed out. Once we went to the other side of the Pass all was clear and had a nice ride into Revelstoke.

Your route and instructions were top notch and very easy to follow. We got out of Vancouver with no problems, even though my communication headset had dead batteries, (need to check these things the night before!), which were charged up during our first coffee break, all was good. Your route sure gave us a comprehensive tour of all the different geography of BC. I don't recall any roads that were boring.

Although all the roads were great, both in surface and scenery my favorite roads for twisty factor were:

A great big thank you for providing us with and excellent trip, great maps and directions, as well as great accommodations. The BMW 1200RT worked as expected and was a pleasure to drive.

All in All an excellent vacation with many thanks to you Cycle BC. We will recommend you to anyone who is interested in seeing BC.

Don

Hi Coastline,

Back in Queensland and already wishing we were back in Canada. The trip exceeded all our expectations. The scenery was breathtaking and nothing like we have experienced before, and just when we thought we had seen the best we would ride around another corner and be awe struck again. The bike never missed a beat and performed superbly and the roads were heaven to ride on.

Accommodations were all good but especially liked the Rundlestone lodge at Banff which was also our favorite town. Only changes to our 10 day trip would have been extra time on the ice field parkway and would recommend anyone travelling near Banff to take in the Bow Valley Parkway instead of highway 1. Best experience of trip was having to give way to a grisly bear who decided to cross the road in front of the bike but also got to see black bears, elk and deer.

Thank you for planning a great itinerary and looking after us so well.

Regards,

John and Coral

Hello Coastline!

I wanted to say that this trip was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Our heads are full of all the wonderful images, sights, places and people that we have visited or met.

Your organization was perfect - all according to plan. The boys at Cycle BC Rentals were great. The hotels were grand.

Thanks for such a wonderful tour.

David and Catherine

Hi Coastline,

My wife joined me in Vancouver at the end of the tour for a few days. We arrived home last week. As to the tour, it was quite superb. The guys at Cycle BC couldn't have been more helpful. The weather was perfect - not a drop of rain from start to finish. The overnight accommodation at each hotel was of a high standard. You were not to know this, but the Shotwells and Fantls were excellent company - couldn't have been better.

So, all in all, a great adventure from start to finish. I'm sure I'll be in touch again for details of some other or others of your tour proposals.

Kind regards,

George T. Lyon, Scotland.

Hi Coastline,

We are back and we had a fabulous time! We loved Canada, especially the mountains. As for feedback, here goes:

Thanks for all your organizing, it truly was a memorable time.

Regards,

Jill and Steve, (Adelaide, Australia.)

Dear Coastline,

We all had a fantastic time enjoying your wonderful country which is just stunning. The route you planned for us was great, as you mentioned having five two night stays worked in really well. We covered 2500 miles in our two week trip and find it difficult to pick a favourite as in their own ways all the places we visited had something to offer, but if forced I think we would pick Mt Robson. It is exactly what you imagine when you think of staying in Canada, a log cabin, trout river and a snow-capped mountain all outside your window, just fabulous. The hospitality here and throughout the trip was just great everyone was very friendly and eager to help in any way.

Dear Coastline,

We just wanted to say thank you for the incredible trip. It was great having the 2 days at Mt Robson. We spent the free day floating down the river on a raft and then we headed to Jasper and spent a bit of time there. We went up on the Tramway which has fantastic views. On the Lake Duffy Road we had an encounter with a young bear. He was sooooo cute!!! (I know they aren't that cute at times but I am a tourist remember). And thanks for the fax advising us of the ghost town of Sandon. It was great. Very interesting.

Dear Coastline,

Just back to Mexico, the experience in Canada was really very good, the places, the hotels and the route was spotless, thank you very much for all the work you did for us. The motorcycles where in perfect conditions and they behaved just great. We are looking forward to do it again next year! Best regards, sincerely.
